Partnership Forum Meeting on February, 1 2008
The next meeting of the Partnership Forum is scheduled for, February 1, 2008 from 10 AM to noon at the World Bank.
At our last meeting, many of you were kind enough to complete a survey asking for your views on how the Forum should organize its work in the future. (A summary of the results of the survey is attached for your reference.) Many of you were in favor of devoting our meetings to more specific, problem-oriented themes and of forming smaller working groups to follow-up on specific issues. Therefore, for this first meeting of 2008 we propose that we focus on the general topic of “HIV and Youth”. Please send your proposed agenda items in this area to Victoria Pshenichnaya at PshenichnayaV@Unaids.org by Monday, January 28th. Presentations on recent research in the area of children, youth and HIV, reports on existing prevention or treatment service programs, or other related topics of interest are welcome.
Also at our meeting on February 1 we will provide an update on preparations for the May 3-5 Eastern European and Central Asian AIDS Conference (EECAAC). We will also invite representatives from the organizing committee of the National NGO Consultation to be held in Moscow on January 22 and 23 to report on that meeting.
Finally, we have also included below information on the deadlines for the submission of abstracts for the EECAAC, Mexico City and HIV Implementors conferences. Additional information is available at the websites listed below.
